Created by Juliu Horvath, these two complementary practices use fluid,
circular and three-dimensional movements to create space in the body,
mobilize the joints and develop deep strength through low-impact movement.
Gyrotonic is practiced on specially designed wooden equipment, including the Pulley Tower. Using pulleys and adjustable resistance, the equipment supports the body through fluid movement, guided stretching and functional strength work, while encouraging greater mobility throughout the spine.
Discover the Gyrotonic method
Gyrokinesis is the equipment-free practice at the heart of the method. Sessions take place on a stool and on the floor, combining fluid movements with rhythmic breathing to awaken the body and encourage greater mobility and freedom throughout the spine.

Gyrotonic is known for its gentle and progressive approach. Exercises can be adapted for people experiencing back tension or returning to physical activity after an injury. It is a low-impact practice in which movements are performed progressively and with control.
If you have an injury, persistent pain or a diagnosed medical condition, consult your doctor or healthcare professional beforehand.
No. Gyrotonic has no age limit. Movements can be adapted to every body type and level of mobility, from young adults in their 20s to seniors aged 70 and over.
Yes. Many professional dancers use Gyrotonic to improve their range of motion and coordination, as well as to help prevent injuries. It is an ideal complement to training for developing flexibility and dynamic mobility.
We generally recommend one to two sessions per week to experience deep and lasting benefits for posture and mobility.
You may notice the first sensations immediately after your first class: relaxation, a more open chest, release through the shoulders and a naturally more aligned posture. Results then develop according to the consistency of your practice and your individual needs.
